Monday, October 22 award-winning filmmaker Michael Kirk, is participating in a lunch discussion on “Documenting Trump.” Since 2016, Kirk has made six films for the PBS series Frontline about Donald Trump and the Trump presidency. Kirk is the director and co-writer of the recent PBS documentary “Trump’s Showdown.” Monday’s discussion will be led by Professor Philip Bennett and take place in Sanford 05 from 12:30-1:30 p.m.

He is the winner of every major award in journalism, including four Peabody Awards, three duPont-Columbia Awards, two George Polk Awards, 16 Emmy Awards, and 11 Writers Guild of America Awards. A former Nieman Fellow in Journalism at Harvard University, Kirk was the senior producer of FRONTLINE from the series’ inception in 1983 until the fall of 1987, when he created his own production company, the Kirk Documentary Group.
