Andrew Trexler is a doctoral student of Public Policy and Political Science at Duke’s Sanford School of Public Policy. Andrew’s research focuses on political communication, democratic norms, mass political behavior, and policy feedback processes. He is particularly interested in how media and policy actors shape emotions about politics among the mass public, and the downstream effects of such emotions on democratic functioning and policy development.

Andrew previously received a Master of Public Policy degree from Duke University in 2020, and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wesleyan University in 2014.
