The Zeidman Colloquium on Politics & the Press, “What Happens Next? The Midterms, the Media & Washington,” was held Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Penn Pavilion on Duke’s west campus. Patterson Professor Philip Bennett led a panel discussion with journalists Yamiche Alcindor (PBS NewsHour), Frank Bruni (The New York Times), and Katherine Miller (BuzzFeed News).

Each discussed the results of the 2018 Midterm Election and the media’s coverage of the campaigns. Yuexuan Chen, a student from the Policy, Journalism, and Media Studies program and journalist for The Chronicle, interviewed the panelists before the event on the politics of working in news media.
