The DeWitt Wallace Center for Media & Democracy is funded by program restricted endowments, research grant funding, and individual and alumni giving. Almost all individual and alumni giving directly supports student activities and programs through internship support, student reporting or special learning opportunities, and awards. We are deeply grateful for the support we receive and employ the funds directly to support the extension of teaching and opportunities for our students.
Here are different options for giving:
Select this link, and then type in “DeWitt Wallace Center” in the search area. You will then have two options to give: 1) to the “DeWitt Wallace Center Director’s Initiative Fund,” or 2) to the “9th Street Journal.”
Within this portal, you will have the option to give to more than one area of Duke, you can opt to pay through a one-time gift or a pledge, and you can designate the gift in memory or in honor of an individual.
If you give through the giving portal to the “DeWitt Wallace Center Director’s Initiative,” but would like to more specifically designate your gift (e.g. an internship fund, an award or student trip), then please contact Shelley.Stonecipher@Duke.edu or call 919-613-7306 and we will make sure we accommodate your giving directives.
Please make the check payable to Duke University, with “DeWitt Wallace Center 3990770” in the memo line.
