Join us for a discussion with author John Carreyrou T’94, an investigative reporter with the Wall Street Journal. Carreyrou will discuss his reporting  on the rise and fall of the blood-testing firm Theranos. It’s a fascinating tale of Silicon Valley ambition and deceit – and the great journalism that uncovered the truth. The best book I read last summer was Bad Blood, a page-turner by our alum John Carreyrou, T ’94, an investigative reporter at the Wall Street Journal. It’s the story of Theranos, a Silicon Valley startup that was going to revolutionize blood testing. People likened it to Apple and said founder Elizabeth Holmes was the next Steve Jobs.  John’s book shows how the company misled business partners, investors and board members, and how a timely phone call gave John the crucial tip that enabled him to unravel the whole scam.
