Join Duke alumni, parents, students, and friends for a wide-ranging conversation with former Duke Chronicle editor Maureen Farrell ‘01 and her co-author Eliot Brown about their recently published book, The Cult of We: WeWork, Adam Neumann, and the Great Startup Delusion.

The Cult of We is the definitive inside story of WeWork, its audacious founder, and what its epic unraveling says about a financial system drunk on the elixir of Silicon Valley innovation—from the Wall Street Journal correspondents (recently featured in the WeWork Hulu documentary) whose scoop-filled reporting hastened the company’s downfall.

The conversation will be moderated by Scott McCartney ‘82, Wall Street Journal columnist, co-chair of the Duke Student Publishing Company’s board (which publishes The Chronicle), and adjunct instructor of journalist and policy at the DeWitt Wallace Center.
